Truth Calvin Klein Men Chooses Risdon-AMS for Cap

Unilever Cosmetics International chose Risdon-AMS to produce the spray-through cap for its new fragrance, Truth Calvin Klein Men.

The cap is in total harmony with the bottle for a look of modern, clean simplicity. The package features a curved surface and distinctive angle. The slanted cap fits the product’s 15 ml and 100 ml sizes.

The cap surface is ABS electroplated in a silver white bronze shade. It incorporates a movable, rectangular-shaped piece in the top, which, when depressed, activates the pump dispenser .

The caps were manufactured at the Risdon-AMS facility in Marolles, France. For more information, contact Risdon-AMS, (860) 417-1100; Fax: (860) 417-1101; Website: www.risdon-ams.com.

Himmel Re-introduces Breck Shampoo
Himmel Hair Care Products, an affiliate of The Himmel Group, has re-launched Breck Shampoo, which had been a leading brand for over 90 years.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the image of the “Breck Girls” was reflected with models who later became celebrities including Kim Basinger, Cheryl Tiegs, Cybil Shepherd, Jaclyn Smith and Brooke Shields.

The Himmel Group acquired the rights to market Breck hair products in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia from The Dial Corp. last year. “We found an original style bottle from the 1970s in Springfield, MA,” explained Jeffrey Himmel, chairman of Himmel Hair Care Products. “We took pictures and impressions to make our bottle a faithful reproduction.”

Himmel has also remained faithful to the gold formula and the signature fragrance as well as the classic packaging. Breck Shampoo, available in Normal and Dry formulas, is now in national distribution in drug, grocery and mass merchants.

Eastar Copolyester Makes the Grade (And the Housing) for Rush 2
Gucci was so satisfied with the results of using Eastman Chemical Company’s Eastar copolyester in the packaging of its original Rush fragrance, that it chose the supplier’s material again for the bright pink transparent housing that encloses Rush 2.

MT Packaging, of Challes, France, molded the Eastar material to meet the design demands of surface flatness and a precise square shape without warpage or sink marks. The copolyester also provides a durable surface with excellent chemical and scratch resistance.

Caress Redesign Stresses Skin Care Benefits
When Unilever set out to redesign its Caress line, now consisting of 30 SKUs including body washes, body lotions, body sprays, bar soaps, foaming baths and shower gels, it turned to Raison Pure International to create a look that would communicate the products’ skin care benefits.

While the bottle is the same, the labels have a new look that strengthens the logo with cleaner lines and a more elegant type face. A double droplet graphic on the label contains a different icon for each fragrance and symbolizes balance between fragrance and silkening effects.
